The Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has charged intending Muslim pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to fervently supplicate for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 general election and the overall development of the state.
Addressing the intending Muslim pilgrims on Thursday during a farewell form at the board’s demesne, Governor Yahaya, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, also supplicated them to be good ministers of the state and country.
Warning them against acts able of dropping their image, he said, ” You shouldn't engage in plutocrat laundering, theft, medicine trafficking, harlotry, abscondment, use of vituperative languages, and other vices that are outlawed in Saudi Arabia.
”He also reminded them to be security conscious as gangbangers could find ways to insinuate their species and commit crimes.
The governor also informed the pilgrims that earlier challenges endured regarding taking off from Gombe International Airport had been resolved, prompting them to remain calm and supplicatory.
He noted with concern the incapability of Muslims to perform passage in the last two times due to the COVID- 19 epidemic.
He confided the entire Muslims for their prayers, which had opened doors for the resumption of compliances of one of the crucial pillars of the Islamic faith.
