NEWS Condensation – Youths in Osun State have taken to the thoroughfares demanding the junking of the state Police Commissioner, Wale Olokode.
This call for his redundancy came at the heels of the death of a youthful man, Abiola, who was whisked down by the police on Sunday and died after he was shot during a hunt by the officers.
Youthful Abiola was arrested at night, along with his comrade, Matthew, after the police raided the hearthstone without a hunt authorization.
Abiola was visiting Matthew, who was a phone serviceman but decided to sleep over at his abode at Capital, Zone 10 Area, Osogbo.
While conducting their hunt, a police officer shot Abiola who died before he could be taken to an undisclosed medical center by the police.
Both Abiola, Matthew and Matthew’s ladylove were also taken down by the police.
Although Matthew’s ladylove was released on Monday, Matthew was detained in police guardianship.
Not only do the youths ask that CP Wale Olokode be sacked, they ’re also protesting the unremitting police brutality they face from the Nigerian Police Force.
