Ogun promises bettered ease of doing business via robotization

 The Ogun State government has pledged to ameliorate the ease of doing business in the state through an automated process. 

 The state Commissioner of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe, said this during a stakeholders ’ engagement and training programme on business demesne permit robotization in Ijebu- Ode, Ogun State. 

 She also said that the Dapo Abiodun- led state administration would make the process simpler and more accessible. 

 Longe added that the enrollment could be done online within a day rather of an normal of 18 days when it was done manually. 

 “ As you know in Ogun State, the law requires that all entrepreneurs should register their business demesne and renew the enrollment annually. Before 2021, it used to be done manually ”

 “ Now with the portal, it can be done online to the convenience of business drivers in the State. I encourage entrepreneurs to go online and register their businesses. It's to the benefit of all if you log on to the portal and process the business demesne Permit, ” 

 Longe still called for entrepreneurs in the state to register their businesses on the Business Demesne Permit portal, adding that the enrollment is mutually salutary to businesses and the government. 

 The manager stated that the BPP enrollment was in line with the Business Demesne Amended Law 2006, adding that registering on the gate would enable the government to gather data and plan better for businesses operating in the State. 

 She restates that the information available on the database would be used to reach the registered businesses when there are interventions and programmes. 

 before, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Industry, Trade and Investment, Ms Sola Arobieke, had said the programme was organised to enlighten business drivers on the benefits of registering on the portal and get feedback from the stakeholders.
